Lisbon and Sintra Private Tour

An interesting day trip with Carlos, our guide. He told us a lot of details about this marvelous romantic castle (Pena Castle). After lunch in a typical restaurant, change of decor: Estoril and the beautiful Cascais bay. Go back to Lisbon with a stop in Belem. Degustation of succulent Pasteis de Belem in an old craft pastry. We are delighted. Highly recommanded.

We started out early and Carlos first chatted with us to learn exactly what we wanted to do. He adjusted the original schedule for us. It was great to do and see the things we wanted. Carlos is so knowledgeable and tells history as an incredible story. I highly recommend Carlos and Sinatra especially the Pena Palace.

Sintra visit is a must! I don't know that I have experienced such beauty before. Our tour guide Carlos, was very well informed and flexible with us. It was really a highlight of our trip.

Carlos was absolutely the best guide we’ve had in all our travels through out Europe. His knowledge of history and culture combined with a friendly, easygoing manner, made the experience unforgettable. My wife and I have taken many tours over the years and Carlos provided the finest overall experience we have ever had. His command of English is 👌🏻 and he often explained the commonality and etymology behind many Portuguese words. He is warm and genuine and his breath of knowledge extends far beyond the sights and history of Portugal. He provided insight into the nuances of the Portuguese people, comparing and contrasting with other nearby cultures. He presented a balanced worldview but through the lens of a Portuguese citizen. Very insightful! We discussed art, wine, politics (carefully) religion, history, architecture and the list goes on...if you don’t take the tour, then invite Carlos to dinner. My wife and I olny had one full day in Lisbon and wanted to see as much as possible. Our guide, Bruno Almeida, confirmed our tour the night before, then arrive at our hotel 15 minutes before the scheduled time. We discussed what locations we wanted to see besides the scheduled stops, then made a plan for the day. We visited all desired locations and a few surprise stops at locations that other tours do not include. This tour is a great value and Bruno is an excellent guide. We are planning a return visit and will request Bruno again.

Our guide was excellent. He was knowledgeable, friendly, very willing to customize the tour to our interests. We had easy conversation , learned so much about the areas we visited, and had a thoroughly enjoyable day Would highly recommend this tour. We took numerous tours in the area as well as in Italy and this was at the top of our list for the best. ( I believe the guide’s name started with an N possibly Nuno ). We thoroughly enjoy his narrative of growing up in the area and how being a tour guide was his life’s calling.

Carlos collected us punctually from our hotel and proceded to take us on a delightful tour of Sintra and Lisbon. He was charming, friendly, very knowledgeable and clearly proud of this beautiful country and its fascinating history. We would highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide, Rod, was wonderful - friendly, super informative, super helpful - & flexible to our needs! This was the best tour we went on during our two week vacation to Spain, Morocco & Portugal! He took us to the best places & gave us the best recommendations. Would absolutely recommend this tour especially if you are short on time on Lisbon & want to see all you can. Thanks Rod!

Great tour with Rubin, very comprehensive. He was sensitive to our desires and planned with care and informative.

Reuben was our guide for the tour to Sintra and did a great job. He had to improvise an itinerary for us since the roads to our main destination, the Pena Palace, were closed to private vehicle traffic due to a distant threat of fires. We went to Quinta da Regaleira, Monserrate, and Cabo da Roca. All of these attractions were terrific and Reuben was very knowledgeable and accommodating as he guided us through them. He even made reservations for us for an excellent lunch at Incomum in Sintra. We would recommend this tour and Reuben highly.
