We enjoyed the workshop in the Bakery. Jaoa was an enthusiastic teacher and he included everyone in the process of making the Pastel de Natas. I'm sure I will be able to create these when I return home.

Had a wonderful social and educational time. John gave us a history of the bakery and his family and showed us some new baking tips we hadn’t seen before. Very entertaining. We munched on our pastries at breakfast the next day. Would highly recommend this.

Great class even for kids

I participated in this class with my kids aged 5, 7 and 8 years old. Joao was an excellent teacher, making sure that the kids were included and even guided them through a lot of the steps that weren’t easy for kids (like shaping the puff pastry). We had an almost private section to ourselves for tasting right after, with a drink of our choice. What a great way to end the class. I highly recommend this class to both kids and adults!

The explanation was very clear, they welcomed any questions and also gave some good tips. We all participated into the make of the pastéis, so it was a good feeling to see your one coming out of the oven. And tasting them afterwards was delectable mmm
