An unforgettable fun-filled and tastefull experience!

This was the greatest experience on a full day wine tour. We learned much about the wine. About the making process and the differences between the Portuguese wines. We asked a lot of questions but our guide was the best and he had all the answers. It was a great pleasure sharing this wonderful day out with my friends and of course wine!

We had a brilliant day out with Joao, learning a lot about the wine but also the region. A great mix of wineries from the large producers through to a local cooperative. Thank you for a memorable day!

The trip was excellent although we wish we could have stayed longer. it wasn't Rodrigo's fault that there wasn't enough time in the day, and we certainly experienced more than expected or listed in the tour description. At each location, Rodrigo's knowledge of the subject wines and wineries was without limits, and his descriptions and background added very positively to the the experience. We could tell each of the wineries were friends with Rodrigo and that genuinely appreciated him bringing us there. My wife and I completely enjoyed our time in the Setùbal wine region.

Thank you very much for the review dear Eric! We are happy that you enjoyed your day with Rodrigo and hope to see you again in the near future ;-) And yes, we have a good relationship with our wineries and the people that work there. After years working together, we are more like a family. This is one thing that makes the guiding work so rewarding! Warmest Regards and please stay safe! Joao Dickmann

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our private wine tour with our informative guide, Paulo. It was a beautiful sunny day to taste several wines at 3 different locations. We especially liked the small, farm style winery. It was rustic and the wines were wonderful! Thank you Paulo, you were a delight!

We have been lucky the past days for having a "early spring"! These tour types are always more fun to do with nice sunny weather. ;-) Regards and hope to have you back soon, Joao Dickmann

We were the only ones on our tour. Our tour guide was extremely informative, interesting and attentive. His knowledge of the wineries was great and he was able to give us good advice about the wineries we visited (X3). It was a great day and one to be remembered.

My husband booked this tour last minute and I'm so thankful that he did. Our guide, Ricardo was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the locations that we stopped at and Lisbon has a whole. We couldn't have asked for a better time. I highly recommend booking this tour if you're stopping in Lisbon.

lisbon wine tasting- Setubal region

My wife Julie and I spent 7 hours with Joao on Thursday 5th DEcember. we visited a family run vineyard, a co-operative type wine shop and the place where they make Moscatel. we tasted over 12 different types of wine as well as a fabulous sheeps cheese, we saw a baby goat just 24 hours old at the vineyard. we learned about corks, different ways to make different wines from the same grape/ vine as well as a lot of local history. Joao was a great host. he was very easy company. we would strongly recommend this trip . the personal service and venues and wines meant we felt it excellent value for money. Joao even picked us up at dropped us off at the Cruise terminal. Great and memorable day. Gary & Julie

Perfect last day in Portugal

We had a private tour with Rodrigo of the Setubal wine region. We visited three wineries and an azueljos tile shop. Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and we chatted and asked him questions all day long. The wines were delicious and the region was beautiful. I'm happy we did this on our last day. After a week of sightseeing on our own it was nice to relax and have someone take us around and show us the attractions. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you like wine. The third winery includes cheese tasting as well. Rodrigo said he has had quite a few guests who didn't like cheese (WHO DOESN'T LIKE CHEESE??). If you like wine and cheese and are into a relaxing day learning about wine and the region, this is a great way to spend a day. Bonus if you get Rodrigo as your guide!
icon Response from Host , Dec 2019
Well, depends on the cheese...! :-) This region is renowned for it´s sheep cheese, it is a "must do" thing. Besides the wine... This cheese is much "milder" than people thing, and being still handmade, it´s very traditional. Wine, bread and cheese, what else do you need? Warmest Regards, Joao Dickmann

Worth Every Penny! And then some.....

Taking a tour bus with 50-plus people is one thing, (been there; done that) but to truly experience the culture of a region and get up close and personal, this is the way to go. Rodrigo (sp?) treated us to several hours of non-stop experiences that were intriguing and informative, to say the least. We met great people, tasted great wines and really felt connected to both our guide and the culture. Rodrigo appeared to go out of his way, literally and figuratively, to make our tour unique and fun. We'd do it again in a heartbeat!
icon Response from Host , Nov 2019
Hello again dear Irina, Thank you so much for taking some time and writing a review! It is always very important for us as a business. Making the tours unique is always our goal. This can only be done with a private tour, where it is just you and your guide. We go to the same places, but as the travellers are always the same, no two tours are the same. That is what makes this job fun and rewarding to do! ;-) Come back to Portugal and we will be waiting for you! :-) Joao Dickmann
