Joao our guide was incredibly good, a gentle man so polite. He also added places to visit "on the spot" that responded to our taste. Every thing was on time and he make sure that we had water to drink because it was very hot. He did give us very interesting historical information on the tour. We do recommend this tour with Joao.

The price was so reasonable, I didn't even realize I had booked a private tour until the day before. This was so much better than a group bus tour. We went off the beaten path, to places a bus could never get into, and saw some amazing historical sites. Our guide was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend this tour.

The places we visited were nice, and the visit to the megalith was interesting. The overall highlight would have to be the Chapel of the Bones--truly unique. Raquel was our guide/driver and she did an outstanding job. Her English was incredibly good and her background in art history was definitely a plus. She was very knowledgeable on all topics with the tour. Well done.

Our tour guide was outstanding. This was very interesting as we learned about cork trees, pigs and the black ham - yummy! Almendres did include the room of skulls and bones. We enjoyed the architecture as well.

Excellent trip with a knowledgeable and personable guide. I would recommend this trip to anyone who loves history and wants to understand more about the culture and attitudes of the Portuguese people. There were many highlights and we enjoyed every aspect. On reflection this trip would have been very difficult for us to organize by ourselves. We would never have seen half as much or have the opportunity to have it contextualized without mammoth pre-visit research. Well worth the money

We were very fortunate to have the most excellent tour guide Raquel. She was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She also found us a fantastic patio for lunch that we never would have found on our own. And although we have been to Lisbon before we had not been to Evora and it was incredible.
