Tania is TERRIFIC! No need to look elsewhere. She is the best guide anyone can ask for. And this is why: 1) Wealth of historical knowledge and explanations behind the architecture. 2) fantastic photographer 3) she is one of those people who loves her job and takes pride in her work. Just book this one, you'll love it.

Side Trip from Lisbon

My wife and I are spending a few days in Lisbon and wanted to see the surrounding area. Cascais and Sinstra were recommended by our friends. This tour exceeded our expectations. Most of that was due to our guide: Tania. Her knowledge, communications ability and personality truly made this tour a memorable experience. The Pena palace is amazing. The town of Cascais is great. Sinstra is interesting.

This trip was a very long day but the tempo made it very mellow. Our guide, Catarina, was amazing. She was intelligent, well spoken, enthusiastic and fun. Hard to say what was my favorite part but Pena Palace was amazing!

Worth every penny!

This tour with Lisbon Riders was worth every penny! Sintra, first of all, is such a beautiful medieval town smack dab in the middle of some beautiful mountains, about an hour north of Lisbon. The best part of Sintra is the castle, of course. Not only is the castle itself spectacular (both inside and out) but the views that you get from it are just breathtaking! Cascais, on the other side, is also a great town! Very different from Sintra. It was very crowded with tourist (both local and international). It's so colorful and picturesque that I wish we could have stayed longer there. We stopped for lunch and some free time (shopping?) in Cascais. The food (at any restaurant) is guaranteed to satisfy even the more demanding of tastes. Portuguese cuisine is simply delightful, especially the fish dishes. While in Cascais, don't forget to stop by Santini after lunch, the best ice-cream place ever!! Our guide (I wish I could remember her name--Leticia?--) was one of the best guides I've had in my many, many, many tours of this kind that I've taken worldwide. She was super nice and very enthusiastic about the places we visited. She was also very easy to relate to. She was so nice she even gave a ride back to my hotel because it was on the way to her place. All in all, I'd highly recommend Lisbon Riders to take you on this great tour!
