I bought a ticket from the yellow bus ticket booth. Once you have done this they send you of walking 3 blocks to the pick up point. No clear instructions which of the many bus stops is the one you should go to. The buses are totally overcrowded. Even when there where no seats available people still could board the bus. Anyway if you like to waste your money buy a ticket and you will see what I mean. Anyway Lisbon is a city full of pick pocketing locals. I didn't got robbed but I could see what's going on. The rest of Portugal is lovely.

really good commentary and interesting tour. But we didn't know exactly where to pick up the bus and had to ask people for directions. Once on there it started to rain, so be warned you may need an umbrella or to go downstairs. The open top dosn't have a rollover cover.

Overall, the bus lines were very unjoyable. I have a few remarks. There wasn't a kiosk as described, to get the ticket. You actually had to get it when you boarded the bus. Also, it was confusing that the Yellow Bus was also a Blue Bus or a green bus, etc. And sometimes the buses weren't clearly marked as to which color line they actually were. One time we were on the blue bus and the stops weren't matching at all with what we thought they were. We never could figure that out. Also, the earphones were very uncomfortable. Other than that, it was great!
